How to mount a curtain rod to the ceiling using dowels? Mark the curtain rod installation line using a level or a marking cord. Mark the points on the ceiling where the studs will be placed. Use a pencil for this purpose. Drill a hole the width of the cover, then place it in the drilled hole. Install the curtain rod, then tighten the screws, securing the rail stably to the surface.
