Check thisCreating a functional and aesthetic attic room can be quite a challenge. Not only because of the problematic nature of the rooms located in the highest part of the house, closest to the roof, but also because of the interior architecture and the number of slopes, which effectively hinder the use of “traditional” solutions. However, the project by Mrs. Justyna from @jumaarchitektura shows that it can be done stylishly, femininely and aesthetically.
Due to the slopes, most of the decorative elements, as well as furniture, focus on the lower part of the room. In this arrangement, the L0101 Mardom Decor slats were used, which were cut to about 1/3 of the wall height. Together with the decorative strip MDD339, which is an aesthetic finish for the slats in the upper part, they create a subtle but very stylish decoration that fits perfectly into the style of the bedroom. On the lower part, at the very floor, the wall arrangement was finished with the MD018P skirting board.
The wall mouldings and slats were covered in exactly the same shade as the wall. The subtle, light beige perfectly matches the character of the bedroom, giving it a modern character, preserved in the modern classic style. The used slats and wall mouldings were factory-coated with a matte primer, which smoothes the material and increases the adhesion of the dye to the surface. Thanks to this, it was possible to perfectly cover the surface with paint and maintain full color consistency. Thanks to this treatment, the bedroom walls look interesting – the three-dimensional texture attracts the eye, but thanks to maintaining color consistency, it does not dominate or overwhelm it. The only exception are the white skirting boards from the Premium collection. These perfectly correspond to the ceiling, creating a closed composition, refined and thoughtful in every inch. This type of floor molding is covered with satin varnish in the shade RAL 9003 and does not require painting. Another advantage of using mouldings in the lower part of the bedroom is the protection of the wall. Such problematic rooms in terms of height are even more susceptible to mechanical damage – impacts from moving furniture or accidental kicks while walking. The Mardom Decor slats and floor strips used were made of high-quality extruded polymer in the proprietary ScratchShield® technology, which hardens the surface to the maximum, increasing its impact resistance and impact resistance. Additionally, the slats, thanks to their three-dimensional shape, have a great impact on the acoustics of the interior, reducing reverberation and noise in the interior. Can you choose a better addition to the bedroom? 😉
The applied stucco in the form of a subtle accent adds elegance to the space, but also coziness. The combination of subtle grooves on the wall with a leather armchair and designer lamps with a gold finish makes the bedroom look extremely impressive. Looking at the photos, you almost want to penetrate this room, lie down on the bed and relax after a hard and exhausting day.
