The Hamptons style, derived from seaside residences in the United States, is characterized by elegance and a reference to the maritime climate. The upper class, seeking a break from the cities, built their villas in seaside resorts, trying to combine the vision of a beach house with the luxurious life to which they were accustomed.
White wall panels mounted at a height of 1/3 of the wall, symbolizing an inconspicuous fence associated with an idyllic atmosphere, will work perfectly in this style. It is a perfect symbol of what Hamptons represents – an everyday and completely inconspicuous element made of high-quality stucco and decorative elements associated with the upper social class. Decorative panels in such an arrangement can be finished with wall stucco, which only adds sophistication to the arrangement. For this purpose, e.g. L0201 lamella-shaped wall panels and MD024 Mardom Decor wall strip are perfect for this purpose. You can also arrange your bedroom in a similar way, using stucco elements as an elegant headboard.
Art Deco style
The Art Deco style, which was born in France in the 1920s, is characterized by luxury, wealth and geometric patterns. Wall panels in this style can be used as impressive decorative elements. They can act as accents on the walls, diversifying the space, but not dominating it. The choice of decorative panels in this case is obvious – they should be dedicated to painting. In combination with decorative stucco frames, they can function as pictures, then you can cover them with the same shade as our walls (we recommend dark green!), and when painted in gold, they will be a perfect detail in a composition with furniture legs, handles or decorative wallpaper with geometric patterns. Wall panels can also be glued to the kitchen island, which is an ideal solution for a kitchen open to the living room. Thanks to this, we will take care of every detail and consistency of our arrangement.
Wall panels dedicated to painting can also be used in a children’s room. Decorative boards painted baby blue or powder pink are perfect when our child is still small. However, as the child’s age and tastes change, we can change the appearance of the children’s room by painting the surface of the wall panels in any color. From bright yellow, through calm graphite, to deep black.
Glamor style
The Glamor style, originating from Hollywood in the 1930s, is the quintessence of elegance and wealth. Wall panels will look great in glamorous arrangements in classic white, but modern versions in shades of delicate beige or gray look equally impressive. Both the version of wall panels dedicated to painting and those with a snow-white finish will work in glamor – it all depends on our room and the chosen style.
In this style, a decorative panel can be used both as one of the wall arrangement elements with richly decorated stucco, but also as the main decorative element of the interior. It will work well as a decorative TV wall, the background of our dressing table or a decorative element of furniture – wardrobe fronts, consoles or wardrobes.
Loft style
The loft style, derived from industrial spaces adapted into apartments, is characterized by austerity and minimalist design. In modern adaptations of this style, an integral element is architectural concrete, which is an excellent base for building arrangements, but is also an impressive element in itself, adding character to the interior.
A decorative wall panel with a wooden finish will work perfectly in this style, as it will visually warm up the space and make it cozy. A panel mounted along the entire height of the wall with the addition of LED lighting will create an effective and practical decoration. This solution will also work well in a modern style, adding elegance and functionality to the interior.
Mardom Decor decorative wall panels
In addition to appearance, the quality of wall panels and the material from which they are made are also of great importance in interior design. Wall panels that look great but will need to be replaced after a few months of use are not a solution that any of us would choose. So what else should you pay attention to? For quality. Mardom Decor wall panels are made of a high-quality mixture of polymers using ScratchShield® technology, which hardens the surface of the panels as much as possible, making them resistant to any mechanical damage. Additionally, the PolyForce material from which they are made is waterproof and resistant to UV radiation, which ensures the durability and aesthetics of the panels for a long time, and also allows installation in any room.
Mardom Decor panels can be divided into two categories: wall panels and Lamelli slats, which are distinguished by their innovative panel form, which greatly facilitates their installation and ensures a consistent appearance without unsightly joints. This solution makes installation simple and quick, and the end result is extremely aesthetic.
Mardom Decor wall panels are available in two finishes: Satin, which is characterized by an elegant, satin gloss thanks to the high-quality SupremeSatin® varnish in the shade of RAL 9003, and a matte finish dedicated to painting, allowing you to match the color of the panels to the individual needs of the interior. The slats are available in as many as six colors, five of which imitate natural wood using embossed laminate technology, reflecting the wood structure, and in white, which is available in both the Satin version and the version dedicated to painting. Thanks to this, Mardom Decor panels can be adapted to any style and any room, creating harmonious and coherent arrangements.
Decorative wall panels in the living room – practical installation tips
Room dimensions are never perfect, so Mardom Decor wall panels can be cut to any size. They can be cut crosswise with a saw or lengthwise, where an ordinary knife will work perfectly. Thanks to this, adjusting the panels to individual needs becomes simple and extremely precise.
Each category, both wall panels and slats, is available in two lengths: 200 cm and 270 cm. Thanks to this, we can perfectly choose the dimensions to suit our needs and the size of the living room. The length of 270 cm has been adjusted to the standard height of most apartments in Poland. If the panel is too high, it can be cut, and if a few centimeters are missing, floor stucco can be used. A skirting board is also a perfect solution when wall panels do not cover expansion joints after installing floor panels.
Mardom Decor wall panels are installed only with assembly glue. You can successfully use the Fix Pro version or Mardom Max for more problematic spaces. This method of installation ensures durability and stability of the installation and allows easy installation in any space.
Remember to pay attention to the dimensions after installation – the visible part of the wall panel will be slightly shorter. The exact dimensions for each model can be found in the photos on the product card on our website. Thanks to this information, their assembly will be even more precise and the final effect will be perfect.
