What is stucco?

Stucco is a decorative element used in interiors to emphasize or give an individual style. Traditionally, it is associated with classical arrangements, but nowadays it is a universal solution that can be matched to both modern classic style and modern minimalist interiors.

Using stucco, you can create something that is unique and unparalleled in another property – you are only limited by your creativity. The decorative elements available in our offer, are made of innovative materials that ensure durability and ease of installation. Among them stand out:

  • PolyForce – an exceptionally dense resistant moisture-resistant plastic that is perfect for areas exposed to daily use. It is extremely durable and resistant resistant to mechanical damage.
  • ProFoam – a lightweight material with high precision details, ideal for stucco with rich ornamentation. Thanks to its structure, it allows perfect reproduction of even the most demanding designs.

Stucco helps visually shape the interior. Properly placed wall mouldings can emphasize the height of a room, and ceiling stucco, such as MDB162 or MDB185 models, will make the space unique.

Thanks to modern materials, Mardom Decor stucco is easy to install and designed for painting. If you want snowy white, choose a molding covered with a layer of SupremeSatin coating, which provides a perfectly smooth finish – such a product is already ready for installation and does not require painting.

What are the most popular decorative elements?

Stucco is a broad category of decorative elements that affect the aesthetics of an interior and emphasize its proportions. Of course, they have even more advantages and benefits. But before you decide to buy, learn about the most popular solutions:

Rosettes

Ceiling rosettes are elements that are perfect for various interiors – classic, modern or even loft. They can be a background for chandeliers or simply perform a decorative function and thus give depth or symmetry to the ceiling. Depending on the style of the interior, you can choose models with rich ornamentation – B3O21, B3O33 and B3047, or bet on the classics, namely B3O38.

At your disposal are also ceiling rosettes to which you can add dedicated LED lighting to create a warm atmosphere – remember to choose the right light color. For this you will use our ceiling rosettes: QROO5 and QROO2.

Trim strips

Selected stucco elements will allow you to create a seamless transition between the wall and the ceiling, floor or other surfaces. They provide consistency, and this is what is fundamental in polished properties. Wall stuccowork worth looking at includes:

  • Ceiling moldings – they subtly emphasize the border between the wall and the ceiling, and additionally introduce lightness. Our offer includes models with a simple profile MD21O, MDB132 or MD380, as well as profiles decorative ones, which are rich in various ornaments – MDB118, MDB112 and an elaborate profile with gradation MDB13O.
  • Skirting boards – perform a protective and decorative function. They mask the expansion gap and protect the lower edges of the walls from damage. Our profiles with ScratchShield technology provide increased scratch resistance.
  • Wall moldings – allow you to create decorative frames and wall panels that add structure to the interior. Modern compositions of vertical slats give the space a dynamic look. For those who are new to stucco, we recommend wall mouldings with a classic form, including MDD316, MDO12, MDO31.

Pilasters

Decorative wall mouldings is just the beginning. Now it’s time for pilasters. These are decorative elements inspired by columns. They help visually divide the space – that’s not all, of course. How can pilasters be used?

  • Creating an elegant entrance – pilasters are an ideal way to emphasize the transitions between rooms. In spacious corridors, you can use massive models, such as D1515 or D1516.
  • Optical elevation of the interior – if the room seems low or the proportions are disturbed, use pilasters. They will optically elevate the space. Just install them from the floor to the ceiling – their vertical lines make the wall appear taller.
  • Decorative divisions in large interiors – in spacious living rooms or lobbies, pilasters can serve as an element that organizes the space. Placed at regular intervals on a long wall, they introduce rhythm and symmetry, breaking the monotony of large, uniform surfaces.

Why use stucco?

The use of stucco brings many benefits. Decorative ornaments, skirting boards or profiles ceilings can transform even an old, challenging space. Learn about the reasons to go for different types of stucco:

Cohesion and elegance of the interior

Refined interiors are characterized by consistency of details. Stucco is an excellent way to finish walls and ceilings. Skirting boards effectively mask expansion joints and protect walls from damage, and cornice mouldings allow a smooth transition between surfaces, eliminating the “empty ceiling” effect.

Versatility of application

Modern stucco matches any style of interior. Depending on the model, it can emphasize classic arrangements or be a subtle detail in minimalist spaces. Geometric arrangements of moldings work well in modern compositions, and delicate milling introduces an element of modern classic style.

Can be painted and personalized

Matching individual ornaments to the colors of your walls or ceilings is extremely easy, so you can create the effect of tonal, contrasting wall frames or subtle wall-colored decorations. All you need to do is choose products that are marked “for painting”. You can find them in our online store.

Durability and resistance to damage

Instead of polystyrene stucco, choose profiles from modern materials such as PolyForce and ProFoam. They will give you high resistance to moisture, mechanical damage and temperature changes. Models with ScratchShield technology are extremely durable, so even with intensive use, the interior will retain its elegant appearance for many years.
