How to properly choose a light source?
To begin with, choose the type of light source. The optimal solution for wall fins is LED technology. This type of lighting is characterized by a long life, which usually ranges from 30 to 50 thousand hours of operation. LED technology also generates minimal heat, so slatted wall panels are not damaged or discolored by temperature. Choose LED strips or linear fixtures suitable for interior decoration. LED strips are flexible strips equipped with small LEDs, usually available in rolls of 5 meters. You can cut them to the appropriate length in marked places, which makes it easy to fit them precisely into the lamella design. What to keep in mind when planning to illuminate the lamellas?
First of all, decorative tapes should have an IP20 rating for use in dry areas, or IP44 for areas exposed to moisture (bathrooms, kitchens). Choose products with SMD LEDs with a density of at least 60 LEDs per meter – they provide uniform illumination, free of spotty discoloration.
LED profiles are also available in our offer. These are modern lighting solutions dedicated to be used together with products from the category slatted wall panels. The profile allows you to seamlessly install LED lighting strips together with slatted wall panels. We especially recommend using them with the Stretto or Medio collection.

What is the installation of LED strips and linear fixtures like?
Start installing LED lighting by choosing the right aluminum profiles. A properly selected aluminum profile guarantees efficient heat dissipation from the LED strip. This prevents LEDs from overheating, prolongs their life and protects slatted wall panels from deformation caused by high temperatures. You can choose from several variants of aluminum profiles:
- Surface-mounted profiles – install directly on the surface of the fins or in their vicinity. Such a profile provides an aesthetic effect and easy installation. You will fix it with screws or double-sided mounting tapes – depending on the substrate. Remember to close the profile with a milky or translucent lampshade.
- Recessed profiles – require prior preparation of the substrate. Mount them in properly milled holes or slots made directly in the surface to which you mount slatted wall panels. This type of installation is more demanding, but the end result is a perfectly integrated light surface with slatted wall panels. Remember to keep precise dimensions when cutting the slot for the profile. The minimum technical clearance between the profile and slatted wall panels should be 1-2 mm.
- Corner profiles – install them where you want to angle the light to slatted wall panels. They will work perfectly in the corners of the walls, ceilings or at the furniture development. The corner profile will direct the light beam at an angle of 45 degrees to the surface of the fins, emphasizing their structure and exposing the decorative effect.
Before installation, thoroughly clean the surface of the fins and profiles from dust, grease and other dirt. Paste the LED strips into the profiles carefully, avoiding stresses or sharp bends. Keep an even distance from the edge of the profile – preferably 1-2 mm – which will ensure optimal airflow around the tape.
Mount LED linear luminaires at the lamellae using special mounting brackets or clips provided by the manufacturer. Place this type of luminaires parallel to the lamella layout, maintaining symmetrical spacing, such as every 30-50 cm – depending on the length of the element. Be careful that the fixings do not interfere with the lamella structure.
How to get the optimal light effect with LED fins?
LED lighting combined with slatted wall panels decorative lighting is a tool with which you can create a unique space. However, in order for your LED light to be striking, it is necessary to choose the right light color.
For lamellas with warm colors, for example LO2O2, LO1O4 and LO1O5, choose light with a temperature of 2700 to 3000 K. Such a value corresponds to the natural color of a classic incandescent bulb, giving a soft, yellowish glow. This light deepens the sense of visual warmth, enhancing the impression of coziness and elegance of the interior. Various LED strips are available in our store, including 4000 K type COB.
If you want a neutral effect, choose light with a temperature of 4000 to 4500 K. Neutral color is close to natural daylight. It works perfectly in modern, minimalist and industrial arrangements, as well as where you need clear exposure of the texture of the lamellas. Lamellas in shades of gray, white or graphite go very well with neutral lighting, which emphasizes their modern character and purity of form.
Avoid cold colors above 5000 K. Cold light, falling into the blue or cool white tint, can introduce an unpleasant atmosphere in the interior. The effect of the cool color can make slatted wall panels look unnatural, and make the room appear harsh and sterile. Such light can be tiring to the eyes and reduces the comfort of the room – especially in the evening hours.
